with the five largest Nazi killing
centers during the war and the number (up
to) of killings done by Einsatzgruppen in
the field behind the front in the east.
The total amount of Jews killed is over 4
million in these camps only. Not all
camps continued to exist till the end of
the war and the extermination ended
during the 1943 year in Treblinka,
Sobibor and Belzec and in august 1944 in
Chelmno. Auschwitz/Birkenau was
functioning at full power after 1943 so
the four typical exterminationcamps were
not longer needed for the purpose, the
killing of the European Jews. |

Time that the three killing centers existed
and their number of victims
The three most deadly camps of the Nazi
terror against European Jewry, Sobibor, Treblinka
and Belzec, in which only extermination took
place, were only operational for their task
during 1942 and 1943. In this short period more
than 1.7 million Jews were killed in only three
centers. Beneath you see a table of the camps,
the data between which the camps were operational
and the death toll they took. Also how many dead
(average) per month.
